The challenge of computer vision is to develop a computer based system with the capabilities of the human eye-brain system. It is therefore primarily concerned with the problem of capturing and making sense of digital images. This module introduces both the wireless and optical propagation environments, the modelling of the corresponding channels as well as their implications on the design and architecture of wireless and optical communications systems. It covers ‹building block› circuits using bipolar transistors and FETs, and looks at the use and operation of op-amps.
Graduates from this course have gone on to progress into a range of occupations across various sectors including finance, manufacturing, public health, and the entertainment industry. Robotics and robot systems have been, and remain, at the forefront of technological and industrial development. The development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning techniques has enabled robots and robotic systems to evolve further and improve their operational performance and awareness. The aim of this module is to provide students with an introduction to the principles and technology that underlie internet applications and the techniques used in the design and construction of web sites.
If you have a conditional offer you can attend one of these courses instead of retaking IELTS. Candidates from Peru generally require a) A levels or IB Diploma or b) a recognised foundation programme or c) successfully completed the first year of the Título de Licenciado with at ai engineering degree least 13/20. We may accept your English language grade from the Dutch Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO) diploma if you achieved 8 (good) in English. SPM 1119 or GCSE/IGCSE minimum grade C may be accepted for a range of programmes with a four year validity period.
Is there a degree in AI?
The concentration in Data and Computational Science is one of two concentrations in the Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence. This concentration incorporates artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the software and data analytics applications of these technologies.
For Postgraduate programmes, Ghanaian nationals with a degree from Ghana or another English speaking country (as on the University’s approved list) are not required to submit an English Language test. If you have taken exams which are from another country’s national education system (e.g. the Arbitur from Germany or SAT and AP exams from the USA) you should consult that specific country page on our website for entry requirements. If you have taken A level or IB diploma, please refer to the course you are interested in on our course finder and you will find entry requirements. We will consider students who have completed GAOKAO for entry to our Undergraduate Programmes.

During this course you will have the option to complete a placement year, an invaluable opportunity to put the skills developed during your degree into practice. This course will equip you to work in artificial intelligence in both the public and private sectors, in areas such as market intelligence, imaging techniques, data mining and in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Graduates wishing to specialise in robotics are well placed to pursue careers in mobile communications and gaming systems.

Databases and the Web
This course will also equip you with a strong background in discrete mathematics (logic, sets, relations and grammar), classical mathematics and statistics relevant to applications engineering and management. Students on this programme develop a broad range of technical skills and will study a number of topics related to information systems. This MSc programme lies within an area of growing technological change and provides advanced skills and knowledge. Appropriate hardware/software tools will be integrated into the module to enable students to apply and test computer vision algorithms on real world data sets. Our course is recommended for applicants with an undergraduate degree in a computer science, or a related science, technology, engineering or mathematics subject that included programming content. Our course is also relevant to industry professionals who hold or aspire to secure roles in senior management, digital transformation, marketing or information management.
